Legal Disclaimer – Connectpol Platform and Safetroop Technologies Modules

This legal notice (hereinafter, the “Disclaimer”) regulates the use, access and processing of data within the Connectpol platform and the technological modules developed by Safetroop Technologies, S.L. (hereinafter, “Safetroop Technologies”), including, without limitation, the Pocket Police Station systems and other integrated solutions aimed at public safety and inter-administrative cooperation.

1. Voluntary acceptance and implied consent

Access by any local administration, police entity or authorized agent to the Connectpol platform or any of the Safetroop Technologies modules, through the use of credentials provided by the company, implies the express and voluntary acceptance of sharing information relating to:

  • Relevant incidents or events,

  • Vehicles and objects of interest, and

  • Persons of interest or possible perpetrators of criminal acts,

All of this with the sole purpose of improving citizen security, promoting inter-institutional coordination and optimizing the operational response to incidents.

Access to and use of these platforms therefore implies the informed consent of the institutional user for the sharing of said data with other local police forces or public entities integrated into the Safetroop Technologies ecosystem.

2. Purpose and legal basis of the processing

The processing and sharing of data between administrations is legitimized in accordance with the provisions of:

  • Article 6.1.e) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR): processing necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.

  • Article 8 of Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5 (LOPDGDD): processing of personal data by Public Administrations for the exercise of their powers.

  • Organic Law 7/2021, of May 26, on the protection of personal data processed for the purposes of prevention, detection, investigation and prosecution of criminal offenses.

  • Law 40/2015, on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector, articles 140 et seq., which protect inter-administrative collaboration and the exchange of information between administrations for the effective exercise of their functions.

Under these texts, the sharing of information between security bodies does not require additional individual consent, provided that the purpose is legitimate and linked to public safety.

3. Platforms and systems involved

The Safetroop Technologies systems and modules with information exchange capabilities are:

  • Connectpol: a platform for the real-time (“hot”) exchange of relevant information about crimes, offenses, and potential perpetrators.

  • Pocket Police Station: a mobile system that integrates shared intelligence on people, vehicles, and objects of interest between different local police forces and partner agencies.

4. Responsibility of the institutional user

Any administration or agent accessing Safetroop Technologies platforms:

  1. He acknowledges having received the access credentials securely and legitimately.

  2. You assume responsibility for the use of these credentials and the information consulted or shared.

  3. He declares that he has understood and accepted that active participation in the platform implies the transfer and joint processing of information with other public bodies for the purposes of citizen security.

Use of the system implies full acceptance of this disclaimer and express waiver of any future claim for data sharing carried out within the purposes and legal frameworks described.

5. Limitation of liability

Safetroop Technologies acts as a technology provider and data processor, limiting its involvement to providing support, hosting, and secure data transmission services.
Responsibility for the accuracy, quality, and legality of the data rests with the user organization that enters it into the system.

6. Continuous updating and acceptance

Safetroop Technologies may modify this legal notice to adapt it to regulatory or technical changes. Continued use of the platform after such updates will constitute tacit acceptance of them.
